Shabab ul Eidiz Zahabi is a global youth organization of the Dawoodi Bohra community, founded in 1965 by the 51st Dai al-Mutlaq, al-Hayy al-Muqaddas His Holiness Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA. The year marked the Golden Jubilee of Syedna’s ascension to the revered office of Dai al-Mutlaq — a milestone reflected in the organization’s name.
The term Shabab literally means youth — not defined by age, but by the energy, enthusiasm, and spirit of service that lives within each individual. Khidmat, translated as service not governed by reward, is the core value that drives the organization’s efforts.
The name Shabab ul Eidiz Zahabi, meaning Youth of the Golden Era, embodies its mission: to inspire and mobilize members toward selfless service (khidmat), community development, and the propagation of the noble vision of al-Dai al-Mutlaq.
Today, under the esteemed guidance of the 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (TUS), Shabab ul Eidiz Zahabi continues to flourish as a vibrant network of volunteers serving communities worldwide.
Local chapters across the globe contribute actively through initiatives such as:
• Organizing religious, cultural, and social events.
• Assisting in community gatherings and festivals.
• Supporting welfare, humanitarian and medical programs.
• Encouraging educational development.
• Leading marching bands at community and civic occasions.
• Promoting sports, recreation, and healthy lifestyles.
• Championing environmental care through clean-up drives, green plantation and sustainability efforts.
These and many other activities reflect the organization’s unwavering commitment to serving the community, fostering unity, and living the values of khidmat with dedication and humility.
